Clean comfy rooms located above the pub, nice atmosphere, wide range of choice in beers

The noise from the bar can be bothersome during the night!!! A less busy road would improve the experience significantly!!! Having breakfast options earlier than 8am would be a thoughtful addition!!!

Compact double room layout, perfect for a short stay. Located above a lively pub with a cozy atmosphere, and interestingly enough, it provided a great backdrop for a Highlands adventure.

The room felt damp and chilly upon arrival, mainly due to the ineffective radiator system. A small window faced industrial pipes, limiting views and contributing to an overall dismal vibe. The ensuite facilities are incredibly cramped. the shower barely accommodates anyone above a small frame, given the inward opening door. You could clearly hear other guests through thin walls, which disrupted sleep. Busy bar noise echoed into the night, further complicating rest during peak tourist season.

i had a fantastic stay at balavoulin! the king room was spacious and comfy, which made my previous stay feel like a distant memory. breakfast with locally sourced ingredients exceeded my expectations and set the perfect tone for the day.

Enjoyed the delicious food, particularly the salads, and appreciated the fresh decor in the rooms. The ambiance was warm without overwhelming crowds, perfect for a relaxing getaway.

The Balavoulin was a wee gem! The cozy bar served up some cracking foods, especially the meaty pizza, hitting the spot after a long day. The staff were top-notch, and the King Room was so comfy and spotless, I could’ve stayed forever. Plus, breakfast was just right for a good start!
